FUPDL Ramp Raising
As Unitarian Universalists, we take an active role in helping our community and world. We help neighbors in need by donating gifts, services, and money. Recently, several members of our church participated in a ramp raising party for Denise Thornton of Troy, VT, who has visited our church several times. Denise suffered a stroke a few months back and has been recovering at Belair Nursing Home. A wheel chair ramp was needed so she could return home. The ramp is complete and Denise is safe at home. Thanks to Doug Bouchard designer of the ramp, donating hardware, labor and tools, Allen Yale for donating wood, labor, and tools, John Flannery for measuring and labor, Alisa Kelly-Johnson and David Harrison for pitching in where needed. Denise's daughter Kathleen also had the pleasure of pounding in a few nails. All had a wonderful time. We send a special thanks to the Greg and his team at the Pick and Shovel for donating $100 in materials.

Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive...Who is it? Why it's our own Karen Hennig who not so long ago ran in a marathon. Congratulations Karen on a race well run.
