What To Expect On Your First Visit
You will find a warm, friendly, and accepting place for nurturing your children, seeing friends, and continuing your spiritual journey. Do we proselytize? Heavens, no!
What is the dress code?
Dress is casual. Some choose to wear jeans and a casual shirt, while others dress more formally. Wear what is most comfortable for you.
Prior to the Service
People begin arriving as early as 9:45 AM for the service, which begins at 10:00 AM. You will be welcomed as you enter our church. Visitors are encouraged, but not required, to pick up a name tag, and to sign our visitor guest book. In addition, visitors should pick up a copy of the Order of Service which describes the service in detail.
Introductions
The service begins with a welcome by the service leader. At this point, first time visitors, who feel comfortable doing so, voluntarily introduce themselves. Of course, no attention is called to visitors who choose not to do this.
"Candles of Joy and Concern"
This is a UU tradition where anyone who cares to do so is invited to light a candle and speak briefly, at the front of the sanctuary, about a personal joy or concern. The subjects are varied and range from very light hearted to tearfully serious and intimate.
After the Service
Immediately after the service all are invited to gather in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and conversation.
Handicap Accessibility
The church and our fellowship hall are handicap accessible.
